Irish crochet

Wow, wow wow...
I absolutely love Irish crochet.
It is so beautiful, versatile, different and just magical.
I have found lots of inspirational sites where they share everything about Irish crochet.

I have been crocheting for a few years and last year attempted Irish crochet technique, and wow its hard, especially for a novice, but here is what I created :)

Pinned some of my motifs on the padded pattern I have cut out

This is only a 25% of my dress

Oh it takes lots of time and patience to create something so beautiful.
But all I made is tiny tunic/mini dress and it took me few months every free evening I had.
But how about an evening dress like this:

That would take me a year or so to make I think...
Isn't it stunning, beautiful, It is artwork and simple magical :)

Irish crochet doesn't have to be delicate, tiny  and dresses only, how about a  feminine and stunning  coat in Irish crochet ? Have you seen anyone wearing something like this? No? well I haven't,and would be so original.

I have to admit, that most of the beautiful things in Irish crochet I found on Russian sites. There some very talented crochet designers in Russia and Ukraine.

Here is a dream wedding/evening dress in Irish crochet from Russian crochet magazine :
